Sour and sweet plums, just imagining their taste in my mind makes me drool a little more. They are also one of my favorite choices for summer drinks. However, due to food safety issues, I am not buying them this year. When shaking the drink, I inevitably feel a little uneasy. I always feel that I drink more chemical condiments than real plum juice. You might as well take advantage of the weekend and follow our footsteps to see how to make real plum juice!
Materials:
Green plum 1 kg
1 kg of rock sugar (because sugar is used for fermentation, this ingredient cannot be omitted~)
Heat-resistant glass jar
Several long bamboo sticks
Steps:
1. First, sterilize the glass jar. First, scald the glass jar with hot water to sterilize it. If conditions permit, you can also roll the glass jar in boiling water and then air dry naturally.
2. Wash the green plums and dry them one by one with a clean cloth
3. In order not to affect the flavor of the plum juice, use a bamboo skewer to shave off the black spots on the tail
4. After reconfirming that the water vapor in the plums and the glass jar has dried up (very important! The key to success is here), arrange the ingredients into the glass jar in a "layer of green plums and one layer of rock sugar". Until it can’t fit anymore.
5. Tighten the lid and place it out of direct sunlight to wait for fermentation
In about three days, the green plums will turn brown and begin to dehydrate. You can gently shake the bottle in time to allow the plums inside to be more evenly coated with sugar. After another week, the plums will shrink to just one Leave 2/3 of the can and soak it in the brewed plum juice. Add some ice water or if you have a sparkling water machine at home, you can enjoy your own pure natural plum juice!
Make a can of plum juice for your family and put it in the refrigerator to relieve the heat. Try how delicious the truly natural brewed juice is. If you are not sure or too lazy to make it, you can ask your mother (laughs).
