Watermelon creative DIY, watermelon rind is made into a wine barrel, watermelon juice and rum are mixed into rum-watermelon juice, adding fun to this hot summer.
Main materials:
1 seedless watermelon (about 10 pounds), 1/2 cup rum, 4 limes
Tools required:
Knife, large spoon, large bowl, small sieve, small bottle, electric drill, faucet rubber O-ring with handle, mixer
Production steps:
Step 1:
Choose a relatively regular watermelon. If it is irregular, you can cut off some of the rind, as long as it does not affect the airtightness and allows the watermelon to stand up. Choose the better-looking side to make the front of the barrel. Use a knife to dig out a circle of watermelon rind from the top of the watermelon (retain the rind to make the barrel lid). The circle should be big enough to fit in your hand, and then hollow out the pulp.
Step 2:
You can eat it while you are eating it~Finally, pour the watermelon juice into a container
Step 3:
First use an electric drill to poke a hole at the bottom, and then use a knife to dig a larger hole, just smaller than the diameter of the prepared faucet.
Step 4:
Slowly insert the faucet into the melon rind. Don't let the faucet get blocked~ Be sure to put it in gently, otherwise breaking the melon rind will affect the sealing.
Step 5:
Install the rubber ring, pour in water, and try to see if the faucet works. Make sure the water is clean after installation
Step 6:
You can save some of the watermelon pulp for use the next day, put the rest into a sieve, and use the back of a spoon to squeeze the juice into the cup. After discarding the residue you can get 6 cups of watermelon juice. Add half a cup of rum and half a cup of lime juice
Step 7:
Pour the mixed juice into the barrel. Put the lid on the top, place it on the edge of the counter or table, and start drinking
Step 8:
The overall look is pretty good~ It would be great to move this out when having a party at home on a summer night!
Tips:
Don’t dislike the hassle of eating. When you drink that refreshing rum watermelon juice, you will feel that all the trouble is worth it! As for... why can you easily cut the melon with a knife in the first step? Then you must use an electric drill to drill holes or something... people don’t know? →︿→
