I don’t have special tools for making pottery, so I just use this simple method: roll the clay into a pointed top and rounded bottom. For a flat shape, the next step is technical work. Use scissors to carefully cut out a little bit of mud bit by bit. Don’t cut too deep or it will fall off directly. It is better to keep a line when cutting. This kind of trajectory will make the effect more beautiful. While cutting, tidy it up with your hands to get the feeling that the leaves are slightly upturned.
