This group of underwater sculptures is named "la evolución silenciosa" (The Evolution of Silence). It was created by British artist Jason Decaires Taylor after six weeks and was exhibited at the Museum of Underwater Art (MUSA) in Cancun, Mexico. )display. Artists will create a new underwater sculpture gallery for MUSA. These human sculptures will have many corals attached to their surfaces and will continue to grow and evolve underwater.
The National Marine Park of Mexico, where the sculpture installation is located, receives nearly 750,000 visitors every year, which puts unprecedented pressure on the surrounding fragile natural environment and coral reefs. Visitors are required to dive to see the sculptural installation, which captures visitors' attention by demonstrating the impact of environmental pressures on local coral reefs.
