Where are the limits of artists? Maybe even they themselves don’t know!
I have introduced art creations related to wire and barbed wire many times in the past. Among them, the extremely lifelike portraits and three-dimensional statues created by Korean artist Park Seung Mo impressed me the most. These are readily available daily necessities. In the hands of artists, they become unlimited creative materials, and the word "powerful" is no longer enough to describe their profound skills. The protagonist we are going to introduce today, Kendra Haste, an artist from the UK, also uses barbed wire to make breathtaking sculptures. The level of astonishment is not inferior to the Korean artist just mentioned.

It is also a three-dimensional sculpture made of metal, but the work created by the artist using barbed wire seems to be slightly more stunning. The editor does not say this to belittle traditional metal sculptures, whether they are molded or directly carved works. It is actually because the number of barbed wire sculptures is relatively small, and the materials can be obtained in daily life (such as barbecue grills) (like an iron fence), the creative process is relatively difficult to imagine, how to put them together and make such a detailed sculpture!
All of Kendra Haste’s three-dimensional sculptures are themed with animals, with delicate carvingsDraw out the facial details, muscle texture and skin texture of the animals, whether it is messy and fluffy lions mane or rough elephant hide, they are all fully presented. Moreover, the size of the work can even be as high as two or three floors. More importantly, the larger the work, the details are more delicate, and there is no need to cut corners at all.
