James McNabb, an artist who turned from a furniture dealer to a sculpture, continues his experience in making furniture. Most of his works are wood-carved city skylines. Recently, he exhibited a set of various three-dimensional skylines at the Robert Fontaine Gallery in Miami. Sculptures challenge city models of various shapes. Among them, this wheel-shaped skyline sculpture is the most eye-catching. The sharp tops of skyscrapers all point to the center, resembling an enlarged version of pupils or droplets of blood. It is stunning but also a bit strange. Dare to get close~~
James McNabb has previously made a spherical skyline, in which wooden spheres are filled with buildings carved from recycled wood strips. The dynamic beauty is as rich as a floral design. Every time he participates in the exhibition, he always attracts a large number of tickets. People watched curiously. This time James McNabb focused on the main shape, from arc, arch, upside down to wheel shape, and freely developed corresponding skyline sculptures based on the basic main body.
Tumbler-like arc shape, can swing freely like a cradle
In an upside-down city, the four longest corners become the corners of the table.
The arch hanging on the wall looks like both a metronome and long eyelashes
