I wanted a storage box for my earrings that would be easy to access, something that would allow me to see them all without having to take them out again. The following clay tutorial will show you how to make a beautiful jewelry plate, which can be completed in just a few simple steps. Friends, if you are interested, prepare the clay materials and follow the step-by-step instructions below to give it a try!~
Materials and tools: clay, varnish, stamp, paint brush, plastic stick, acrylic paint, sandpaper, aluminum foil.
1. Now take a ball of clay and place it on the aluminum foil. The size depends on how big you want your plate to be.
2. Next, spread your clay to the desired thickness.
3. Next, put the prepared clay into the bowl.
4. Dab water with your fingers to erase the cracks in the clay in the bowl.
5. Now it’s time to stamp! I used a rabbit-engraved stamp to stamp the pattern into the clay, and then stamped out some small dots around it.
6. Take this crucial step now. Remove the plate from the bowl while the clay is still wet, otherwise it may become like the picture above.
Put it on aluminum foil to dry.
7. Wait about 24-36 hours beforeAfter the dish is completely dry, its time to add the final touches!
8. First, sand along the edges with fine sandpaper. I sanded the top and sides to control the thickness of the edges.
9. As shown in the picture after completion.
10. Then paint any pattern you like and protect it with varnish.
11. A beautiful little jewelry tray DIY is completed, put your jewelry on it and see the effect~
