Detailed illustrated tutorial on how to fold a Kawasaki rose. Although the Kawasaki rose is the most common way to fold a rose, it is not the simplest. The following tutorial has more than a hundred steps in total. I try my best to present every detail to everyone. It is suitable for beginners to follow step by step~
Prepare a square piece of paper. Try to use a larger piece that is easier for beginners to use. The paper should also be slightly hard.
The most important thing about origami Kawasaki rose is to get the creases. These steps will make the creases clearer. First fold it in half from the middle.
Then take the folded side and fold it in half.
Expand with three creases.
It was horizontal just now, now turn to the other side.
Same as before, fold in half along the center line.
Fold it down.
The other side.
The expansion looks like this.
Restore to the previous state.
Take one side and fold it upwards.
The same goes for the other side.
Open.
The horizontal ones also get creases in this way, and after unfolding they get eight equal parts.
Fold a corner and use two grids as vertices.
Fold all four corners equally.
Fold in half along the folded line in the picture above.
Fold in half along the line closest to your thumb.
Expand.
Turn it over and repeat the steps.
Open and get the crease.
Fold it to one side.
From right to left, fold in half along the middle crease.
Fold the lower tip and use a grid as the vertex.
Be sure to press hard to create the crease.
Expand to get the small square in the middle.
Fold it down again.

Looking down, do you see the small square you just folded?
Fold the square flat (first fold the square down to make a print, then fold the four center lines down to make a print, grab the two opposite center lines and push them toward the middle).
Smooth the edges connected to the vertices of the small square and make them neat.
Fold the protruding edge to the right.
The folded look.
The same goes for the reverse side, to the right.
Fold the top left edge down.
Gently unfold, not disassemble.
You don’t see the folded corner above? Maybe the square is folded wrongly, and the corner should be folded to the first crease.
The other way around is this.
That’s it.
Press the middle square with your thumb to prevent it from falling apart during the next fold.
See this crease (a line starting from a point one small square away from the center square).
Look at the crease in the picture above, press it with your hands and turn it over (you can pinch it from the opposite side, which is easier).
Hold this crease and turn it down. It’s easy to look at the pictures and compare them (use a harder paper and it will come out in one go).
Along the two edges, press in the middle with your thumb, and its done.
It looks like this when the four edges are flipped down.
Turn it over.
Get closer.
Straighten the creases, that is, straighten the edges.
Look carefully, do you see the crease? Along this fold, I used a pen to emphasize it.
Pinch here.
Fold it four times, the second time.
After folding, return it to this shape to make the crease appear.
The place where you draw with the pen is the crease. Do you see it?
Next step, look at the handsPointing to this edge.
Turn down along the two lines drawn.
The translation is like this.
Four are like this, then the next one.
Then the remaining two edges are like this, and they are folded out like this.
Do you still remember the crease drawn earlier? Let’s start using it.
Pinch the edge pointed by your finger and turn it upward along the crease.
Repeat the steps for the four edges, be patient and take your time.
Pinch the edge pointed by your finger.
Press it down (that is, press the vertical one on the side to the right).
Just press it down (you can understand it by contacting the three pictures above).
Look back at the edge that was pressed down just now. There is an extra piece, and I used a pen to paint it out.
Hold the extra.
The other way around.
The other three are like this too, and they look like this after folding. The extra folded part often opens, which is normal (use clamps to press all 4 corners so it won't fall apart).
The other way around.
Now, place it in the palm of your hand.
Because I want to take a picture with my other hand, I put it down to take the picture. In this step, place it in the palm of your left hand and press down on the square in the middle with your index finger.
Press hard and it will look like this.
Shaped in a bowl.
Turn sideways and look in the direction your finger is pointing
Pinch it.
Actually, go left.
Repeat the remaining three steps again, and it looks like this.
Hold it tightly with your hands.
Grab one of the tips.
Grab it and push down.
Press down all four prongs and fasten them one by one, just like fastening a box. At this step, it seems that you can't fasten it at first. If you fold too many, it will be fastened.
You don’t need to worry about wasting time from here at the beginning. You can stick it with tape first (each half to be buckled has a gap in the middle. You buckle the adjacent tip in the gap, and then buckle the next tip in the gap. In the previous gap. In this loop, interlocking, the knot will be perfect in the end. If the paper is too small, it is recommended to use glue).
The other way around.
Pinch the edge pointed by your finger and pull outward. Be careful not to pull too hard or it will tear.
Tear all four edges, and the Kawasaki rose origami is done!~
