Step 1: First fold the green cardboard in half. Use a pair of scissors to cut two 2.5cm slits in the middle of the folded side, and then cut two more sets of slits on each side.

Step 2: Fold along the folded edge of the card.

Step 3: Carefully open the green cardboard again. Invert the section of paper you just folded. When the card is opened, the inverted section should stand upright in the fold of the card, popping out of the tree.

Step 4: Cut the top half of the card about 2.5cm above the top of the pop-up board.

Step 5: Fold the blue cardboard in half so that it becomes the outside of the three-dimensional card. Fold the green cardboard section in half and add glue to the back of the top half. Align the two folds of the green and blue cardstock with each other (the outer blue) and press them together, adhering the green section to the blue cardstock.

Step 6: Turn the card over and add glue to the other half of the green cardstock, then adhere it to the blue cardstock behind it.

Step 7: Use an 8cm round hole punch to cut out five circles from autumn colored card stock such as red, orange and yellow. If you don’t have a hole punch, you can draw a circle about 8cm in diameter.

Step 8: Cut five rectangular tree trunks from brown cardboard. You can choose to make them all the same size, or you can choose to make them different sizes.

Step 9: (Optional) If you want to make some apple trees for the pop-up card, use a hole punch to cut out small circles from red cardstock. Then glue the red apples to the five green trees.

Step 10: Add glue to the trunk of one of the trees. Then glue it on the top half of the pop-up card between the two pop-up sections. Glue the second tree to the top of the card.

Step 11: Add glue to the backs of the last three trees. Glue them to each pop-up part of the card. From top to bottom, the colorful pop-up cards are beautiful!
