While some creators carry on the tradition in detailed botanical paintings, artist Tania Lissova has chosen a special challenge, using paper to create miniature forms of flowers. Although small, these lovely flowers are made from several individually hand-cut pieces that are then precisely glued to finish. If you look closely, you'll see that Lissova has even changed the color of the paper in places, giving the plants a three-dimensional "shadow".
Her beautiful bouquets, including daffodils, daisies, peonies, sunflowers, violets, bluebells and more, are sold through her Etsy shop.
In addition to her range of paper flower bouquets, Lissova also creates lovely houseplants such as ficus and various types of succulents.
