Indian paper-cutting artists Nayan Shrimali and Vaishali Chudasama have an unusual plan to make 365 different miniature birds out of paper by the end of 2018. Thanks to their persistence, this dream has become a reality!~
For each work, you first need to make the body out of paper, then cut out the feathers, beak and claws, and then use watercolor paint to further refine the details.
Despite the small size of the pieces (some of the smallest birds are only 3/4 inch from head to tail).
But it is time-consuming, taking an average of four to six hours per bird to complete, depending on the complexity of the birds feathers, etc.
Maybe it’s nothing to spend some time and make a few paper birds, but it’s very rare to be able to persist for 365 days! Let us appreciate their works together~
