Unlike other paper-cutting artists, London-based Rich McCor only uses black paper to cut out people, animals, and things of various shapes, and then interacts with architectural scenery, especially landmark buildings, to create imaginative photos. Wide open screen.
Rich’s first work was to transform Big Ben into a watch. “I was taking pictures with paper cuts at the time, and a father and daughter tourists were very interested in my work. This made me overjoyed and also became an inspiration. One of the reasons I continue to create," Rich said.
Under normal circumstances, after he sees a building or a scenery, inspiration will come to him immediately. Sometimes he can confirm how to create it within 15 minutes, and sometimes he has to struggle for a while.
Now with the funding from Lonely Planet, a private travel guide publisher, I believe Rich will visit more cities and bring us more exciting works.
