Preparation materials:

-Black, cream, yellow, gray and pink rag heads

-Lining

-Fused wool

-9” zipper

-Sutures

-Water-soluble fabric marker

-Ruler

-Disc cutter or scissors

-Zipper foot

Preparation method:

Step 1:

First start cutting the fabric. You will need two pieces of each of the following sizes of fabric:

Black – 1.25″ x 3.5″

Cream – 1.75″ x 3.5″

Yellow – 6″ x 3.5″

Grey – 1.5″ x 3.5″

Pink – 2″ x 3.5″

Lining fabric – 10.25″ x 3.5″

Fused Fleece – 10.25″ x 3.5″

Step 2:

Next, assemble the materials for the outside of the pencil case, arrange your fabrics in the order shown in the picture, sew the fabrics together, and open the seam on the back of the fabric.

Step 3:

Attach the fusible fleece fabric to the back of the pencil fabric laid out in step two according to the manufacturers instructions.

Step 4:

Use a ruler to measure a distance of 1.75" on the cloth and mark the outside of the black cloth with a marker. Step 5:

Use the same method to cut another piece of pencil cloth.

Step 7:

You will need to cut out the pencil shape on the lining. Use the pencil fabric you just made as a template to cut out the lining. If the lining you are using is a patterned fabric, remember toCut in the opposite direction.

Step 8:

With a piece of lining face up, place the zipper on top as shown, keeping it level and parallel to the fabric. Place a piece of pencil fabric over the zipper, keeping it horizontal and parallel to the zipper. Pin all the fabric together and sew the top fabric and zipper together. Pull all layers of fabric toward the zipper side and press carefully to leave room for the zipper.

Step 9:

Place the other piece of lining face up on the sewn fabric and place the zipper on top of the fabric to align the top. Place the other piece of pencil fabric with the wrong side up on top of all the fabrics, aligning the top end with the zipper and the left and right sides with all the fabrics. Pin the fabric in place and sew it to the zipper.

Step 10:

Lay all the sewn fabrics flat (as shown in the picture), and unzip the zipper to the 2" position. Put the two pieces of lining fabric together, merge the front sides, and then put the two pieces of pencil fabric together on the front Merge and secure with pins. Step 11:

Trim all corners and remove excess zipper fabric. Turn the pencil case inside out from the opening, press it tightly and sew the opening of the lining, then roll it into the pencil case and press it tightly again.
