Today’s handmade fabric art column will introduce the hand-making of a cat pencil case. The cute kitten stretches out and lies blankly on the desk to accompany the children to do their homework. Isn’t it not too boring?
1) Cut 2 pieces of cat head fabric, 1 piece of body fabric, 2 pieces of zipper opening fabric, 8 pieces of limb fabric, and 2 pieces of tail fabric.
2) Iron the body fabric and zipper opening fabric onto the lining separately.
3) On the head fabric, use buttons to sew the cat’s eyes and mouth, and use 6 strands of brown embroidery thread to sew the cat’s whiskers.
4) The heads, limbs, and tails face each other front-to-side, sew around, leaving a back opening, and turn over from the back opening to the front after sewing.
5) Stuff the opening of the head with stuffing cotton (the limbs and tail do not need filling), and sew the opening.
6) The edge where the zipper opening fabric is sewn to the zipper is first seamed, and then pressed and sewn together with the zipper.
7) Lay the zipper opening fabric face up and flat. Place the cats feet first, then lay the body fabric right side down over them, unzip and sew all around.
8) Turn the cats body from the zipper opening to the front, and connect the head and tail to complete the DIY cat pencil bag.
