Many parents around the world put a lot of effort into making healthy meals that look tempting, but one mom in Japan does it particularly well. Etonis mother is a master at making bento boxes: the food is shaped to look like cartoon characters and animals. Although she uses a variety of ingredients, Etoni is particularly good at transforming fried eggs into various cute characters.
Etoni spends about an hour at a time putting together her creative meals. "I try to interest my daughter," she says. "I just look at pictures for inspiration." From Winnie the Pooh to Pikachu, Etoni can make almost any character out of a fried egg. Yellow egg yolk serves as the perfect face and body, while other ingredients, such as nori, are carefully arranged on top to express the characters hair and facial features. Some meals even come with ham, cheese and vegetables to complete the picture. No matter which design, every creative breakfast looks so cute!
Not all of Etoni’s meals come with eggs, though. Etoni transforms various ingredients into cute characters, and she even transformed a batch of kiwi fruits into monsters and dinosaurs. Each sweet critter has carefully sculpted teeth, ears, legs, arms and eyes.
