EYECON SHOP, a chocolate brand from Futakotamagawa in Tokyo, Japan, printed the poems of the famous Japanese poet Shuntaro Tanigawa on the chocolate with movable type printing. From then on, eating chocolate became a veritable art.
Shuntaro Tanikawa is Japans most famous contemporary poet, translator and playwright, and has written many poems, fairy tales and plays. Among them, one of the most well-known works is the lyrics for the theme song of Hayao Miyazakis animated film "Howls Moving Castle".
EYECON SHOP selected the work "Morning Relay (Morning Relay)" by Shuntaro Tanigawa. They ground the cocoa beans into powder with a stone mill and mixed it with sugar. The rich bitter taste exudes a touch of fragrant sweetness. , just like a somewhat abstract poem, it always requires people to savor it carefully before they suddenly become enlightened. EYECON SHOP specially selected the delicate and round Ishii Taimei font to print the poems, and wrapped these chocolates in golden tin foil, and finally placed them in a box with the words Tanikawa Shuntaro and Morning Relay printed on them, exuding every detail It has a literary atmosphere and is very attentive.
"Morning Relay" chocolates are priced at 1,200 yen per box. Next, EYECON SHOP will also select the poem of the same name from Shuntaro Tanigawas debut poetry collection "Two Billion Light Years of Solitude (Two Billion Light Years of Solitude)" published in June 1952 as the second batch of literary chocolate. It will be launched for sale in February 2020. Unlike "Morning Relay", which uses fresh white packaging to convey a positive atmosphere, the black color of "Two Billion Light Years of Loneliness" reflects the "darkness of the universe." I don't know what loneliness tastes like, but what does it feel like to eat it? ?
