Lin Bangdong is a fine-grained paper carving artist from the folk. His ancestors have been engaged in folk crafts for three generations. He inherited his fathers business at the age of thirteen and learned folk lanterns, paper binding and paint crafts.

In 1955, Lin Bangdong went to work at the Yueqing County Art Sculpture Factory. During the thirty years he worked in the factory, he designed more than 200 kits of paper-cut samples, with a business volume of more than 300,000 yuan. In December 2006, he won the 5th China Arts and Crafts Exhibition The master review leading group approved and awarded Lin Bangdong the honorary title of "Chinese Arts and Crafts Master". Yu Zhonghan is one of the founders of Yueqing fine-grained paper crafts. Chen Yuhua, the son of Chen Chaofen, comes from a family of paper engravers. He has been committed to fine-grained paper engraving for forty years. He has carved tens of thousands of works, and his carving work is very exquisite. His works have been collected by the National Art Museum of China and museums in Sichuan, Zhejiang and other places. His works have participated in various national exhibitions and won multiple gold medals. In 2006, he was named the Master of Arts and Crafts of Zhejiang Province. In June of the same year, he was awarded the title of "Folk Artist of Zhejiang Province" by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture. In June 2007, he was named a representative inheritor of international intangible cultural heritage projects by the Ministry of Culture. In the same year, he was named an outstanding inheritor of Chinese folk culture by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

Yu Zhonghui was born in a Yueqing folk art family. It is said that as early as the Yuan Dynasty, Yus ancestors had widely used folk paper-cutting in various folk activities. The window grilles, door gods and clothing patterns they cut were very popular among the folks. Taizu Yu Jingcheng, the second wife of the Yu family, created a set of dragon boat flowers, which appeared on dragon lanterns, a popular jewelry at the time, and were well received by the people. Yu Zhonghui began to learn art at the age of 13, and at the age of 17, he worked at the Siqian Paper-cutting Factory in Yueqing County. For more than 40 years, he has served as deputy factory director and head of the technical department, product acceptance department, creative team and other departments. He devoted his life to the inheritance and development of fine-grained paper engraving art. The craft paper engraving factory he founded has become the backbone enterprise of Siqian Cultural Characteristic Village. Lu Faliang, who was the director of Yueqing Arts and Crafts Factory in his early years, was mainly engaged in designing drawings. The fine-grained paper drawings designed by him, such as the characters in "A Dream of Red Mansions", "Piano, Chess, Calligraphy and Painting", "Beijing·Olympic Games", etc., have become classic works of fine-grained paper in Yueqing. In recent years, he also founded the Yueqing Longhua Fine Grain Paper Engraving Research Institute and devoted himself to studying the art of paper engraving. In 2003, he founded the Yueqing Fine Grain Paper Engraving Training Center, invited famous veteran artists to demonstrate and teach, and trained students free of charge, cultivating many talents. He also often goes to several primary and secondary schools to give paper-cutting classes and guide students in their creation.

Lin Shunkui is the son of Lin Bangdong and the fifth generation inheritor of Lins folk handicrafts. He inherited his ancestral business since he was a child, learning folk paper-tying lanterns, making large-scale dragon lanterns and jewelry, and also engaged in paint painting. While making jewelry dragons, he is also engaged in carving fine-grained paper works, and has achieved gratifying results in the fine-grained paper industry. January 2008Lin Shunkui was listed as the first batch of representative inheritors of Yueqing jewelry dragon making skills, an intangible cultural heritage project in Zhejiang Province.

Wu Wenmin began studying with his uncle Chen Chaofen when he was 15 years old. He was diligent and eager to learn, and in a short period of time he mastered the basics of fine-grained paper engraving. Wu Wenmin has now become a master in Yueqings fine-grained paper carving art circle. After the Yueqing fine-grained paper engraving project was included in the national intangible cultural heritage list, his enthusiasm was even more aroused. He often participates in various folk art activities and takes home trophies in every competition and live performance. In recent years, he has carved hundreds of works and produced many influential masterpieces. Qianmei is a rising star in fine-grain paper engraving in Yueqing. During the peak period of fine-grain paper engraving in Yueqing, she became interested in paper engraving due to the influence of people around her and became self-taught. At the end of 2003, Yueqing established the Longhua Fine Grain Paper Engraving Research Institute, and she volunteered to return to her old career. Under the guidance of her teachers, she improved her skills again and again, and her level has made a qualitative leap in the past few years. The mantra of Qianmeis art is: calm mind, steady hands, accurate eyes, and quick knife. She strictly follows the fine-grained paper engraving process and carves meticulously, becoming a powerful master in the fine-grained paper engraving industry in Yueqing.
