The Kazakhs developed from the Wusun tribal alliance in northern Xinjiang and the Ili River Basin, integrating local nomads or tribes. Its folk paper-cutting relatively completely retains the simple shapes of traditional nomadic art. It has the characteristics of simplicity, liveliness, obvious rhythm, and large beating range. It has very similar patterns and shapes to the ancient Central Asian nomadic culture. It shows their kind, hard-working, happy thoughts and feelings and simple aesthetics.
