Illustrated tutorial on double chain embroidery stitches

This embroidery method is the same as chain embroidery. The only difference is that double chain embroidery is embroidered on two parallel lines. Therefore, the final effect is a bit like open feather embroidery.

To learn this kind of embroidery, it is best to be familiar with the technique of chain embroidery. I'll start on two parallel stitch lines and embroider from beginning to end. All embroidery points will be on these two embroidery lines.

Picture 1: Pass the needle and thread upward from the A embroidery point on an embroidery thread. Then insert the needle downward from embroidery point B on another parallel embroidery line, lift it upward, and come out from embroidery point C. (The needle passes through both embroidery points B and C at the same time.) As shown in the figure, wind the thread to the right. needle below.

Picture 2: When you thread the thread through, you will see an open link. Then, lift the needle downward from A and out from point C (the needle also passes through the two embroidery points A and C at the same time).

Figure 4: After threading the needle and thread, tighten the embroidered chain link. Repeat this chain link on the left and right embroidery threads. Note that you start embroidering a new one from the inside of the chain link on the other embroidery thread.
