You'll never forget a plants name again with these simple tags! After forgetting the names of too many seedlings during the spring planting season, I decided to make these clay plant tags. Not only are they useful, they are easy to complete. Do children also plant flowers and plants? If you often forget their names, you can follow the diagram below to make a sign to mark them out!~
Materials and tools: letter stamp, knife, ruler, rolling pin, clay, gold powder.
1. Preheat the oven to 275 degrees. On a piece of parchment paper, use a rolling pin to shape the clay to 1/8-inch thickness.
2. Cut it into strips about 1/2" wide x 4.5" long (doesn't have to be exact).
Cut a sharp corner on one end (this end will be inserted into the soil), and the other end is flat.
3. Starting from the first letter, dip the letter stamp into a small amount of water, then blot away the excess.
4. Dip the seal in gold powder and stamp it on the clay. Shake gently in all directions for an even text finish.
Continue doing this for the remaining letters.
5. Place the plant markers on the parchment paper and bake in the oven for 7 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool completely before using~
