In some cases, a rainy day can provide the perfect inspiration for a creative pursuit. Artist Luiza Niechoda blends tranquil raindrops with natural landscapes in her series of watercolor paintings.
Niechoda, a landscape painter, depicts natural scenes in this series. By using bright, transparent watercolor mediums, she can simulate foggy windows—trees, mountains, forests, and skies appear to be shrouded in fog. She then deliberately painted some realistic raindrops over these compositions. Although some of the raindrops looked like they had just fallen on the "window," some were already running along the glass.
However, the painting was not completed before Niechoda added the wooden frame. These frame structures include horizontal and vertical dividers to mimic real windows.
