Little boys definitely like toys like mazes! It’s the weekend soon, take them to complete this interesting rolling ball toy~ It can be completed with just some discarded materials, and let the marbles pass through the levels from the top to reach the Bottom!~
Materials and tools: plastic buckets with lids, cable ties, transparent plastic tubes (inside large enough for marbles to pass through), various plastic bottles, and plastic boxes.
Remove the handle by snipping the plastic on both sides of the bracket.
Wrap the plastic pipe around the top of the plastic bucket and secure it with a clamp to test the free movement of the marble in the pipe.
Use an electric drill to drill two holes vertically, about an inch apart.
Secure the plastic pipe with zip ties. Continue to install zip ties every 5-6 inches around the barrel to secure the plastic tubing.
Test again and adjust as needed.
Then tighten all cable ties.
As shown in the picture after completion.
Choose plastic bottles and create a three-layer channel above the ground.
I chose a large diameter shampoo bottle.
Cut it in half and trim to size.
Next, I made a funnel-like opening in the lid that was large enough for the marbles to pass through.
Place a few more marbles and roll them down to find and mark the location of the first funnel. Use an electric drill to drill two small holes in the barrel.
The same goes for plastic "funnels".
Put the hole through the inside of the plastic bucket and secure the funnel with tie wire.
Next, use the bubble bath bottle to make the next funnel (or ramp).
I cut quarters out of the bubble bath bottle and used a smaller zip tie to connect two of the four pieces together.
Put down some marbles to observe new trajectories, find them and mark them.
Use an electric drill to drill holes and secure them with ties. Test it out and adjust as needed.
Trim any excess cable ties.
Put a plastic basin on the bottom, and the interesting DIY marble toy is completed~
