Tutorial on how to make the simplest recipe of homemade bubble water

Bubbles fascinate people of all ages, appearing like reflective rainbow surfaces floating in the breeze. Whatever your reason, it’s easy to find joy in it. Blowing bubbles can keep little ones entertained for hours, while older kids can try their hand at making the best bubble liquid.

For young budding scientists, preparing bubble liquid is also a process that increases knowledge. You can introduce concepts about surface tension (What shape are bubbles? Why can bubbles grow?), substances (are bubbles solid, liquid, or gas?), and wind direction (can you tell where the bubbles are traveling?).

If young children are using bubble solutions, make sure they are kept away from eyes.

2. Add 1 tablespoon of dish soap. Any brand of dish soap can be used.

Dish soap can help create bubbles, but it cannot be used alone in a bubble solution. Continue to the next step to learn about glycerin and how it holds the entire mixture together.

3. Measure out 1 tablespoon of glycerin and add it to the jar.

Glycerin is a sugary compound that forms thick bubbles when mixed with dish soap. Thicker bubbles will prevent the water from evaporating, so the bubbles won't pop so quickly!

4. Use an ice cream stick to stir the bubble solution mixture together!

Once the mixture is combined, test it! If you notice poor bubble formation, you may need to add a little more dish soap or glycerin.

While this craft only takes a few minutes, kids will have hours of fun~
