I really enjoy making miniature items for my daughters dollhouse from easy-to-find materials, like cardboard boxes or leftover fabric from fabric crafting. This mini armchair measures approximately 3.5 x 2 x 2 cm, making it perfect for a dollhouse. If you like recycling and miniatures, please try this tutorial with me!~
Materials and tools: corrugated cardboard, approximately 0.5 cm thick foam sponge (material used to wrap fragile items), rags, scissors, knife, hot melt glue gun, pencil, ruler.
Cut the shape as shown in the picture from the corrugated cardboard.
Fold the 3 sides and glue them together.
Cut two 4 x 2 cm rectangles from foam foam, stack them and glue them to the armchairs seat.
Cut another 4 x 2 cm rectangle and glue it to the back part of the armchair.
Cut a 4 x 1.5cm rectangle to make a headrest.
Cut two 1 x 1 cm squares and attach them to the inside of the armrest. Cut two more 1 x 1 cm rectangles and glue them to the top of the armrest.
As shown in the figure, fromCut a 1 x 5 cm strip from the fabric and glue it to the headrest.
Cut a 3 x 1.5cm rectangle and glue it to one of the handrails. Repeat on the other side.
Cut a 4 x 2 cm rectangle, fold the edges a few millimeters and glue it to the inside of one armrest, then the top, the sides and finally the bottom of the armchair. Repeat on the other side.
Cut a 12 x 2 cm strip, fold the edges and glue it to the top of the headrest, then to the ends of the sides and bottom of the armchair.
Cut out a 7 x 2 cm strip and fold the edges lengthwise to 1.5 cm wide. Glue first to the center of the armchair, then one edge to the back and the other to the bottom.
Cut a 1.5 x 1.5 cm square from the foam sponge and a 5 x 5 cm square from the fabric piece. Wrap foam sponge in fabric and glue. Place this cushion on your armchair.
Place the mini armchair in your dollhouse and you’re done~
