We will buy some very short hot pants in the summer. In autumn, these shorts can no longer be worn. If these unnecessary shorts are transformed into knee-length skirts, they can continue to be worn in early autumn. The DIY knee-length skirt below is made from an old pair of shorts and some strips of fabric cut from old clothing. The final work has a fresh patchwork feel. If you like it, just follow the tutorial below to DIY it!
1) Cut off the part below the fly of the old shorts, and turn the pockets out when cutting to prevent the pockets from being accidentally cut;
2) Measure the circumference of the hem of the cut shorts, which is the size required for patchwork;
3) Cut some pieces of cloth from other old clothes, and splice these pieces into 3 long strips of cloth. Each long strip of cloth is sewn from end to end into a ring shape. The circumference of the ring is larger than the circumference of the hem of the shorts. Slightly longer;
4) Sew the three rings on the cut shorts in sequence, and overlock the hem of the last ring, thus turning the shorts into a knee-length skirt.
