Old items can be transformed into a slim T-shirt that highlights your figure. Loose T-shirts are comfortable and casual to wear, while waisted T-shirts look youthful and lively. If you have a loose old T-shirt at home and you are tired of wearing it, you can transform it into a waist-cinching T-shirt yourself. After the transformation is completed, the style and upper body effect of the T-shirt will be completely changed.
Supplies required to transform T-shirts:
Loose old T-shirts, webbing, and elastic bands.
Specific steps to transform a T-shirt:
1) Cut the webbing. Measure the waist circumference of an old T-shirt and add 1 inch to get the length of webbing you need. For example, if the T-shirt waist is 34 inches, then cut a 35-inch piece of webbing.
2) Cut the elastic band. Measure your bodys waist circumference and subtract 2 inches to get the elastic band length. If your waist is 26 inches, the required elastic band length is 24 inches.
3) Fold the edge of the webbing inward and wrap it around the waistline of the T-shirt (turn the T-shirt inside out first). After fixing it with a bead needle, use sewing thread of the same color as the T-shirt to fix the webbing to the T-shirt.
4) In addition, cut a small piece of elastic and sew it between the neckline and waistline, so that the round neck of the T-shirt can be turned into a V-neck. After the above steps, the loose T-shirt becomes a waisted T-shirt.
