In this tutorial, I'll show you how to make a model of a fairy house using regular mason jars, aluminum foil, hot glue, paper clay, and acrylic paint. The making process is fun, you can use it as decoration, or turn it into a mysterious lighting by adding LED lights!~
Materials: A glass bottle with a lid, aluminum foil, paper clay, hot glue gun, acrylic paint, paint brush, clay tools.
Start by covering the glass bottle with paper clay.
I do not use natural air drying clay, it will shrink causing a lot of cracks around the glass bottle. Therefore, paper clay is best suited for this type of craft.
Make a door out of paper clay.
The window above the door.
Use tools to draw many lines.
Make a window sill.
Make balconies and fences.
Secondly, to make the base of the house, I cut the cardboard into two or three circles (depending on the thickness of the cardboard).
The three discs are the same size.
Then apply hot glue along the edge of the disc.
Paste them together.
Apply hot glue to the bottom of the glass bottle.
Adhere it to the middle of the base.
Next, I wrapped the base in paper clay.
All wrapped up.
Use aluminum foil and hot glue to create a roof, with bottle caps in between.
Make a dome.
The shape of the roof is completed.
Wrap the paper clay as well.
There are also windows on the roof.
Carve out the details of the windows.
Add mushrooms and other plants
Add autumn leaves that have been prepared with paper clay.
Cover the entire roof with paper clay leaves.
Outline the leaf vein effect.
Paint with acrylic paint. You can also use watercolor paints and watercolor crayons.
First paint the walls.
Then there are doors and windows.
Green moss.
Red mushroom.
Green plant leaves.
The base is also painted with green and brown paint.
Falling leaves with red and yellow paint.
There is also a chimney to be built on top.
Finally, you can use some matte spray paint varnish and the beautiful fairy tale house is finished~
