This is a simple photo frame transformation method. You can use unwanted CDs to decorate an old photo frame.
Create a mosaic effect by pasting cut-up CDs onto an unattractive photo frame. It looks a bit nostalgic, but Pangpangjiang thinks it looks pretty good.
Super simple waste recycling DIY, it is definitely worth your time to try.
Material Tools:
Old photo frames
DVD (or CD)
E-6000 glue
Scissors
White craft paint
Brush
Brush
Wiping cloth
Mod Podge glue
1. Collect the required materials and tools. Depending on the size of the photo frame, you need to prepare 5-6 discs.
2. Before officially starting to transform the photo frame, take the time to cut the CD into various irregular pieces. This is the most troublesome part, please also pay attention to safety.
3. Once you have cut the discs, you can glue them to the surface of the frame.
Start by cleaning the surface of the frame, then start adding pieces from one corner. Add E-6000 to the surface, then add the debris.
Note: When using multiple discs, they should have different colors. Mosaics made of different colors look more beautiful.
4. After adding the pieces to the frame surface, move them into place before the glue dries.
5. Pay attention to the mix and match of colors and make sure the original surface of the frame is visible in the gaps between the pieces.
6. After adding the pieces, let the glue dry. Then cover the surface with white craft paint, which looks like plaster paint.
Let the craft paint dry, then gently scrub the surface with a damp cloth. This will remove the paint from the disc and leave the craft paint in the gaps between the pieces.
7. Note: You do not need to remove all the white paint from the disc, leave some naturally for a more rustic effect.
8. Now add 2-3 coats of Mod Podge glue to seal the mosaic surface. After drying, insert the mirror or photo into the frame and hang it~
