Method steps:
Material preparation:
12 pieces of paper for lotus petals, each piece is a rectangle of 2:1 [i.e. square paper cut in half] .
Lotus leaf paper: 4 sheets, the same size and specification as the petals above.
1 piece of thin rope
Four paper clips or small clips [for fixation]
Others: You can add bells, blessing guards, small wooden signs, playing cards, etc. according to your own preferences.
1. Fold a single rectangular paper in half
2. Fold it in half and unfold it, then fold the four corners at both ends of the rectangle toward the center line as shown in the picture below.
3. As shown below, fold the upper and lower long edges along the center line.
4. As in the third step, fold the other three pieces in the same way.
[Please note that in this step, the piece you used to make the lotus leaf needs to be turned over in the next step. 】
5. Stack the three pieces that will be used as petals in the same direction, then flip the piece that will be used as the lotus leaf, then stack it neatly with the petals, and finally fold it in half .
6. Fix it with paper clips or small clips.
Then use the method of steps 1-6 to fold the other three groups and prepare them aside.
7. Loosen the pin [or small clip]. The four groups are kneaded by hand as shown in the picture below.
