The more seemingly useless things nowadays, the easier it is to capture the inner world of modern people who are busy making a living. Just like those handicrafts derived from life, they are simple and unpretentious, and contain the life philosophy of "making the best use of everything", which can always easily touch our hearts.
I’m afraid it’s hard for you to think that these lifelike small objects are all handmade paper crafts! Ordinary paper, after being “strategized” with a pair of scissors, incredible animals, fruits, water cups, and tapes are created. Even high heels...
These works come from a studio in Berlin, which was founded in 2011. In addition to vivid paper art works, there are also a variety of colorful papers, a full range of scissors, tweezers, Glue, auxiliary tools, etc.
The founder of the studio is an illustrator and graphic designer named Katrin Rodegast.
She has been fond of paper cutting since she was a child. As a child, she founded her own handmade collage magazine. After graduating from college, she interned in an advertising company and then continued to study communication and graphic design. Eventually, I developed a strong interest in creating with paper and similar materials.
Of course, her work is not just for viewing in the studio. The New York Times, Wired and Coca-Cola are all her clients.
