Three-dimensional Paper Sculpture Christmas Snowman DIY Handmade Illustrated Tutorial

This is a three-dimensional paper sculpture of a Christmas snowman that I spent three days designing. The cardboard was printed with a printer at home. Although the color has run off a bit, it is still very cute~~

First, let’s take a look at the photos of the finished product!!

There are 10 parts in total, and the finished product is 12cm high. There is nothing special about the production. After printing, cut along the black solid line, as far as possible along the line, so that the black line will disappear and the work will be more beautiful. The dotted line is the place that needs to be cut. There are dotted lines. There are two buttons on the belly, mouth, nose, hat fur ball, and the tenon part of each piece. The first side can be printed in black and white, and the colors are concentrated on the second side. Then when printing directly online, the dotted lines may not be printed. It is recommended to download and print.

Important Note: Please cut according to the outline and do not completely cut the parts (buttons, branches, etc.) from the body

The assembly diagram is as follows:

The following points should be noted:

Buttons, eyes, nose parts

Button diagram (the folding method of buttons and nose is the same)

Cut it open on the dotted line, leaving a 1mm gap in the middle, and then rotate it so that the button and paper are 90 degrees

The mouth part (pictured above) has the same principle but there is no dotted line. The upper part is shown with two protruding points. Do not cut between the points. There is only one point in the lower half. Do not cut off the point to the edge. Cut the rest. If the printer can't print too small a part, just keep the distance and don't cut it all off.

Just fold the eyes back at 90 degrees. The hat part is as shown in the picture above. Cut the dotted line part of the hair ball and embed the two into each other.

It is recommended that the paper part be made of paper with a thickness of more than 150 pounds and a little thicker. It will be less soft and floppy. When cutting the tenon, try to cut a groove instead of just cutting it. The concept is like the picture above. Its the same, but my drawing is more exaggerated. Please don't really cut it so wide. This will make it easier to assemble, but it is recommended to just cut the fur ball part of the hat. Do not cut the seam, otherwise it will not fit tightly.
