By chance, I saw a small, green and dense potted plant on a friends desk. I thought it was very refreshing. After asking, I found out that I had used lychee cores for myselfHandmade potted plants, any ornament placed on the table should look good, and the most important thing is that it does not cost money. So I collected some fruit seed potting tutorials and planned to make one myself. The sources of seeds are of course the fruits we usually eat, but they can also be seeds from other vegetables. For example: lemon, grapefruit, fresh lotus seeds, taro, loquat, longan, pitaya, pineapple, lychee, etc. are all acceptable.
Red-fleshed dragon fruit seed potted plant
The flesh of red-fleshed dragon fruit will be purple-red when ripe. There is also a kind of white-fleshed dragon fruit. The flesh is sweet, juicy and very delicious. The pulp is filled with thousands of sesame-sized seeds, which are used for making potted plants.
Cut the dragon fruit open, scoop out the flesh with a spoon and place it on a plate for later use.
Put the pulp into stockings and rub it gently to separate the seeds and pulp as much as possible. Then soak it in water for a day. The soaking time should not be too long because the seeds will germinate. Rub it every once in a while. , finally the pulp and seeds will be completely separated, leaving only black sesame seeds.
Strain the water completely, use a dry soft cloth to fully absorb the water, take out the seeds from the stockings, spread them flat on a plate, and place them in a cool place. After the seeds are completely dry, you can plant them.
Choose a non-porous flowerpot of suitable size, pour in cultivation soil until the soil is almost full, spray water on the surface of the soil to moisten the soil, and then spread the seeds evenly on the surface of the soil.
After spreading the seeds, dry them with water several times. In order to keep the soil moist, you can seal them with plastic wrap. Remember to spray water once a day until the seeds germinate and then remove the plastic wrap.
In about 7 days, the entire pot will grow into a lush green patch, and the shoots will be about 1 cm tall. At this time, the seed shells will gradually fall off.
After 14 days, the buds will grow to 2 centimeters tall, and the leaves will be greener and thicker. Placing it on your desk will not only look good but also be full of vitality, and it will be very comfortable to look at.
In the fourth month, small thorns will begin to grow; by the sixth month, the thorns will harden and the stems will become thicker like a cactus, as shown in the picture below, very cute. The cultivation methods of other fruit seed pots are similar. Friends who are interested can try other fruits.
