Want to experience what it’s like to walk in the clouds? Welcome to the Beaux Arts Ball held by the American Institute of Architects (AIA San Antonio) this year!
This year’s ball invited artists Stuart Allen and Cade Bradshaw of Bridge Projects to collaborate on the Paper Cloud project, which used white clouds to decorate the abandoned newspaper factory in a very romantic way. Stuart Allen and Cade Bradshaw invited local architects and designers to participate in this cloud-making movement. After they wrinkled the white paper, they fixed it on the wire with a stapler and used LED lights to turn it into white clouds.
The cloud-making activity is not an easy task. It took 8 workshops, more than 70 staff, more than 800 hours, and used 1,200 feet of LED light strips, 25,000 staples, 1,252 Wire connectors, creating a total of 144 white clouds. And because each cloud is created by a different person, it can highlight each persons unique creativity.
This year’s annual art ball will be held surrounded by glowing white clouds!
Finally, according to the size of the cloud and the length of the wire, hang it from the ceiling.Hanging down, or standing low on the ground, or swaying slightly alone in an empty factory, or quietly enjoying the exchange of drinks among people coming and going, not only creates different levels for the huge space, but also timely Create different atmospheres according to different scenes.
