Glow-in-the-dark bike lane lights up Polish town, unplugged glowing road

When the weather is not too hot, there is nothing more comfortable than riding a bicycle leisurely! Whether riding in the countryside, in the woods, or in the city, each has its own scenery and style. Near the small town of Lidzbark Warminski in northern Poland, a bicycle path as bright as the starry sky was recently completed, which not only makes riding a bicycle a comfortable thing, but also a romantic thing!

This lane was created by TPA Instytut Badań Technicznych Sp. z o.o. Although it is similar to the starry sky lane designed by Studio Roosegaarde in the Netherlands, the lighting principles between the two are different. The Dutch version of the bicycle lane uses LED bulbs, while the Polish version is paved with artificial materials that absorb sunlight and emit light. They "charge" throughout the day and maintain brightness for up to ten hours at a time.

Currently, this illuminated lane is still in the testing phase, and we hope to have the opportunity to expand it to other areas, including ours, of course!
