This wooden stool looks boxy, like a wooden frame or a hollow square. At first glance, it is just a stool. However, after you sit on it, you realize the cleverness of it!
The "cork" wooden stool designed by Polish designer Ewa Dulcet. The so-called "cork" is not the kind of cork we usually see used as wine bottle stoppers or bulletin boards. It is a real wooden stool when you sit down. A "cork" that will sink.
The chair is made of pine, which sounds, looks, and feels very hard, so why does it sink when you sit on it? The secret is hidden in the wood! The designer cut the pine wood into pine wood chips, and then drilled holes into the wood chips. Holes are used to connect the wood pieces together with rubber, so after you sit down, the chair will naturally become more elastic and sink with the weight, but it will not cause the chair to completely disintegrate.
After the answer was revealed, did you feel that... it was not as complicated as you imagined? Although it is just a simple idea, the simpler the idea, the more eye-catching the effect is!
Currently, Dulcet has no plans to commercialize and mass-produce this cork chair. It makes people look forward to when it will be mass-produced. However, after sitting on it, it seems to be a bit wobbly, especially for girls wearing short skirts. If waistMy strength and leg strength are not enough, so I have to be careful not to expose myself!
