Do you feel it? The art particles in the air are blooming with an unusual fragrance.

Spanning 15,000 square feet (approximately 1,400 square meters), the installation "Liquid Shard" sways in the wind at Pershing Square in downtown Los Angeles. This shiny piece, which resembles the Milky Way falling into the sky, was created by Patrick Shearn of Poetic Kinetics. It uses polyester film and single fiber to create a shiny reflective effect.

When the breeze blows, the two silver waves sway naturally 15 to 115 feet (5 to 35 meters) above the ground, as if sparking bright waves in mid-air. For this work, Shearn was inspired by our perception of nature and the limited human vision, so he wanted the audience to appreciate this special huge artwork from different angles, including top and bottom.

"These gently undulating fragments are like the air currents around us. You can feel it, but you cannot witness its movement." When something is magnified or slowed down, we begin to understand the movement around us. Plants are constantly working and understanding those invisible undercurrents. “I want to do my best to extend this concept into interesting works,” Shearn said.

Although "Liquid Shard" is now on display, the trend of art will never stop, right?
