Every time I see furniture made of paper, I am always impressed by its strong and durable properties. After all, paper that usually seems to be blown away by the wind is actually synonymous with "weak and fragile", and today I will introduce it to you. The Bookniture was designed by Hong Kong designer Mike Mak. Under the cover of the book, it is actually a multi-functional furniture with magical power. It can be said that the two qualities of paper are brought into full play.
Bookniture, as the name suggests, is a book plus furniture. The appearance is no different from an ordinary book. When opened, the honeycomb-shaped structure unfolds like a fan, which is similar to the multi-person sitting device previously launched by Taiwanese designers. The chair FlexibleLove has the same purpose but the same purpose. When not in use, close it and put it back on the bookshelf, or take it with you. It is very convenient for storage and portability.
Since the honeycomb structure is highly load-bearing and can bear 100 times its own weight, it is perfect as a stool, coffee table, armchair or even a table. Of course, if you feel lonely sitting alone, it’s okay to get a few more Booknitures and arrange them side by side to form a bench. Or if you feel the height is not enough, you can just stack them up to become a high chair. That’s not a problem either. Bookniture is currently raising funds on Kickstarter, and those who are interested may wish to check it out!
