Canned food is no longer just found in home kitchens or supermarkets! Architect Amanda Levete opened a temporary exhibition restaurant called "Tin Can Tin Can" in Soho, London. The restaurant menu includes a variety of Canned seafood. When I first saw this restaurant, I couldn't help but wonder whether it was a restaurant or a can museum.
In order to provide "the best canned seafood in the world", Levetes team collects ingredients from countries such as Portugal, Spain, Iceland and Iran; the restaurant does not need to have a kitchen, because these canned food are the best protagonists. In addition to the solid content of the can, the colorful graphics on the outside are also very interesting. Levete said: "We turned seemingly inconspicuous cans into display products and used museum-like display methods to make the restaurant space look quite spectacular."
The Tin Can restaurant will be open for six months as part of the London Design Festival 2014. At present, the restaurant has designed 35 menus. If you are lucky enough to visit London, you might as well experience a meal full of "canned" food!
