What we are going to introduce today is Glass Merchants, a restaurant that was converted from a glass factory in Balaclava, a small town in southern Australia. The interior is like a wide space of an old garage, with a large number of exposed brick walls and oak wood. There are vintage yellow-toned wooden beams, arranged and combined high tables, bar cabinets, various recycled chairs, and retro desks like those in the classroom when I was a child. Don’t forget the dim lights hanging above your head, right? Does it match the bright pink fluorescent neon lights behind the bar cabinet? (Oh yeah~ Let’s do a disco dance!)

The roof is covered with an iron sheet, and the patio is covered with a transparent plastic sheet. When the weather is fine, the sunlight shines through the slightly hazy plastic sheet, so that it is scattered directly below or according to the angle of the sun. As for the slanted corner, I think if this scene were in Taiwan, customers would definitely complain about it! (Who said Taiwan is too hot all year round?) However, here, with the exposed original-color brick wall behind it, and not all neatly dressed office workers or well-dressed fashionable men and women walking on the street, taking a seat, it feels like you are watching a surreal movie in isolation. Feeling?

Back to the topic, this restaurant has been opened by a pair of good friends Vince Tesoriero and Kelly Attree. It has not been more than a year since its opening. On the other hand, the main Mexican breakfast has attracted many gourmets who like to try new things. Looking at the picture, they imagine the tender taste of marinated steak after being slow-cooked, paired with crispy fresh yeast bread, crispy poached eggs slow-fried, Then top it with beet and wild vegetable sauce, or you can replace it with GM’s own special beef burger! When you hear this, are you drooling all over the floor? It is known as a healthy breakfast with protein, starch, vegetable fiber, and now it even includes brunch. You can eat them all.

However, if you think this is all, then you are underestimating them! Don’t forget that the wine cabinet at the back has a collection of local handcrafted beers from Australia and New Zealand, as well as beers and ciders from all over Europe. For those who are not a fan of Mexican food, don’t worry, Spain’s famous tapas are also available. And what about night owls? Haha~ After seeing the news they announced on FB, I believe they will also provide late-night snack services soon!
