The Loft is an annual curated pop-up store at The Playing Circle in Amsterdam. A pop-up store means a short-term store, which only lasts for a specific period of time. The Playing Circle is an Amsterdam-based company that rents conference venues, workshops, events and more.
The organizer Playing Circle imagines a virtual character, gives it distinctive personality traits, and determines the decoration style of The Loft based on its personality, selecting furniture, artwork, etc. to decorate the entire space. From the carpets on the floor, to the items or lighting above my head, to the books on the shelves, everything you can see is available for purchase. I almost want to pack my bags and move in!
Many handmade furniture, books, art ornaments, and all kinds of beautiful things are collected here. Everything is intertwined in various beautiful styles...this is a place that can inspire you and create creativity.
During the time The Loft is open, a variety of fun events will be held here: lectures, supper clubs, afternoon tea parties, movie nights.
One of the initiators, Kassandra Schreuder, said about the origin of this event plan: "Many clients who rented conference venues or spaces from us asked if they could purchase the decorations in the venue, so we started planning The Loft’s idea."
