YOY Design: Steel bookshelf that imitates flying A4 paper

YOY Design: Steel bookshelf that imitates flying A4 paper

Two young designers from Tokyo, Japan

The first trial cry, quietly shining in the product design world

One is Naoki Ono, who was born in 1981 and graduated from the Department of Architecture

The other one is Yuki Yamamoto, who graduated in 1985 and majored in industrial design at university

In 2011, the two worked together to establish YOY Design Studio

This year YOYs design works began to be exhibited at various famous furniture exhibitions in Milan

Naoki Ono has a good sense of space and is responsible for design issues related to studio space

Yuki Yamamoto works hard on product design

The two have their own strengths and create wonderful sparks

YOY’s design philosophy is to explore and create “stories deduced from the relationship between space and objects”

Their design theme is to create a new story between space and objects.

The companys design spirit is described on the companys website

TodayWhat I want to introduce is a work that the editor really likes "Blow"

This is a set of five-piece white steel bookshelves

Each component is not a traditional horizontal support plate

Instead, it imitates flying A4 paper, and the object holding surface is a curved surface with irregular rows

There are five different flying states

You can assemble it by yourself according to your personal preference, and both the front and back sides can be nailed to the wall

You can purchase as many sets as you like

When you finish furnishing your home space

A rather interesting and lively scene appeared

The flying paper splashes poetically in the space

And when you display your collection of ornaments or books

The space presents an unexpected sense of scene

The response of the frame entity and shadow virtual grayscale

It also creates a quite textured atmosphere in the space

All I can say is: the ingenuity of the designers

It really makes life more unique and unique
