How to take care of garlic seedlings
- 1Protect the roots. If you plant garlic in the fall, surround the garlic seedlings tightly with 15 cm (6 inches) of straw to protect the roots and remove it in the spring.
- 2In spring, you can cut off the growing flower branches. In early spring, when garlic seedlings emerge from the ground, all flower stems must be cut off, because they will rob the nutrients delivered to the fruit. If not cut off, only thin garlic will be produced.
- 3Must insist on irrigation. During planting, water every three to five days, especially when you see the soil drying out, which is a reminder that its time to water.
- 4Fertilize and weed in time. If you see the stems of garlic seedlings If the garlic seedlings turn yellow and droop, you can fertilize them appropriately to bring them back to life. Weeding should be done frequently so that other weeds will not steal the nutrients of the garlic seedlings.
