Green plants are a good choice for decorating the home or office environment. They can make people happy and feel more energetic~ Follow the craft editor to learn how to make small clay pots by hand and give succulents a home. .
Materials and tools required:
1. Pen knife 2. Bakable clay 3. Rolling pin 4. Non-stick baking paper 5. Ruler (optional) 6. Printed and cut out house shape template (optional). 7. Smooth working tool (or something with a long handle that can flatten the clay).
DIY tutorial for creative succulent potted small clay pots:
1. Spread the bakeable clay flat on a piece of baking paper, about 1/8 inch thick, a little thicker is okay.
2. If you are using a template, print it on cardboard and cut out the edges. Place each template piece on the clay and use a pen knife to cut out the shape along the edges.
3. After each component is cut, press the components on both sides to both ends of the base piece. The clay pot should be watertight, so take another small piece of clay and roll it into a very thin snake shape.
Place the "little snake" at the internal interface (where the side piece meets the base). Use a smooth processing tool to squeeze part of the "snake" into the gap and push it flat. Then treat both ends of the "snake" the same way. I tried to show it in the picture. Do the same on the other side.
4. After sealing the joints on both sides, carefully turn the jar over and smooth out the clay at the joint at the bottom of the jar.
5. Attach the other components to the base structure (one at a time) and seal the seams using the same technique as above. Note that depending on the thickness of your module, there may be some extra parts (for example, the base structure may be slightly narrower than the house module). I designed it this way on purpose, but you can adjust it to whatever you like. Don't forget to smooth out all the exterior seams. When working, support one hand from the other side so that the clay will not be damaged by the pushing action.
6. After all seams and gaps are sewn, bake the clay according to the instructions on the clay packaging. Also keep an eye on the oven to make sure it doesn't deform.
7. After the jar has cooled down, try filling it with water.
