Flying a kite made by yourself will give you a greater sense of accomplishment, allowing children to learn to achieve multiple goals while having fun. Here is a tutorial on how to DIY a simple kite.
Tools/Materials:
Newspaper, bamboo silk, knife, tape, thin thread
Steps:
Prepare a newspaper
Cut the newspaper into a square and small rectangles.
Prepare two small bamboo wires (you can use bamboo mat wire instead), one is the length of the diagonal line of the newspaper, and the other is the length of the diagonal bow line of the newspaper.
Adhere the shorter bamboo strands to the diagonal lines of the square newspaper with tape.
Cut another newspaper into strips for the tail of the kite. The tail accounts for about 3/4 of the entire kite.
Connect and paste the cut newspaper strips and paste them on the bow-shaped tail of the kite, as shown in the picture
Finally, there is the pull rope for tying the kite, which occupies about 1/2 of the top part.Don't tie it too high. The position of the bottom tie should be about the horizontal position of the two ends of the bow-shaped bamboo wire or slightly below it. After tying it, drag the rope with your hands to pull up the kite and run around to test the stress on the kite.
