The purpose of this edging is just to remove the glue that exposes the leather edge and polish the leather edge, so that the edge oil can better combine with the leather edge. After the edge oil is completely dry, use an edge ironing machine to iron the edges. (Be sure to wait until the edge oil is completely dry, otherwise bubbles will be generated during ironing.) Iron the edges When ironing from both sides of the leather edge to the middle (this will make a small arc appear on the edge), pay attention to the flatness of the leather edge during the process, try to pull it from one end of the leather edge to the other at a time, do not pause in the middle, otherwise it will be very difficult It is easy to make the leather edge uneven. You need to control the strength and speed when ironing the edge. For a very flat leather edge, just use the weight of the tool and gently place the ironing head on the leather edge. For uneven leather edges or If the edge is not polished properly in the early stage, you need to oil it thickly, apply a little pressure when ironing the edge, go slowly, and use the ironing edge to level it (this method is not recommended, this method is only used to remedy some special circumstances). The effect of waxing
Adjust the temperature of the edge ironing machine to level 1 (or use Alcohol lamp), pass it over the edge of the leather, let the wax melt, and then use cotton cloth to polish the edge of the leather. You can also use water wax to process the edge of the leather, it depends on your personal habits
