Authors public account: Yuxi Creation Studio During the production process of
leather goods, A lot of scraps will be produced, commonly known as "entropy". How to make good use of these scraps, let them use waste heat, and even produce better effects than raw materials, today the host will give you a new idea. This is a turquoise brought by a friend. It was broken. I asked someone to grind it into a hemisphere and asked me what I could do. As for the quality of this turquoise, I am a layman and I don’t dare to ask. I can only use it as an excuse. . After thinking about it for a few days after work, I decided to make an eye. A dragons eye is a cooler choice. The only leather material that can come close to a dragon is a lizard. I happened to have a lot of lizard leftovers on hand, which I could use to make it. Eyes, during the design process, I learned about the eyes of lizards and found that the structure is very simple, and the eyes alone are boring, so I added upper eyelids to the lizards eyes, and a more obvious third eyelid. The overall visual effect is much better. Let’s start by teaching you the production process.
Sketch
This is a diameter For 17mm turquoise, in order to create a better visual effect, we need to use cardboard to make a circle with a diameter of 30mm, and dig out a 17mm hole in the middle to fix the turquoise.
Multi-knife straight-line cutting method, Cut out circles.
If the paper is not thick enough , you can use two layers. The poster here uses two layers of Japanese paper with a thickness of 0.8mm.
Prepare the required scraps , the three lizard scraps in the picture above are just enough to make the third eyelids, and the long purple strips of French sheep are used to make the third eyelids. All leather materials are thinned to 0.3mm thickness and hemmed.
Glue first For the upper third eyelid, use scissors to cut off the excess after gluing, and shape it with a shaping rod so that it can be firmly bonded to the turquoise and cardboard.
The following The three eyelids are made into a long strip surrounding the lower side of the eyeball.
Upper eyelid The first layer is glued to completely cover the upper third eyelid, and the right side can be exposed a little to achieve a better sense of hierarchy.
The curvature of the lower eyelid is relatively large, and it is difficult to wrap around the straight strip. , so the method for making the lower eyelids requires drawing two concentric circles with diameters of 30mm and 18mm, using a 10mm punch to make round holes, cutting multiple cuts along the 18mm circular edge, and then folding the edges.
Make good folding The lower eyelid behind the edge is bonded to the overall shape. Only a purple edge is exposed on the lower third eyelid.
