1. Production "Core": Here I use 4 layers of horse leather base of about 2 mm, and cut it into regular rectangular shapes. Sometimes vegetable tanned leather bases are also used. (It is recommended to use a stiffer leather base, because it is easier to shape during the production process. It is recommended to use different dyed vegetable tanned leather bases, so that the production process is more intuitive. It is recommended to draw auxiliary lines, the specific content varies from person to person) < p style="text-align: center;">
2. Shaping: This is a Slow work leads to careful work. Here I used Mo’s plane and Qin Du’s knife. First, cut the whole thing into a semi-cylinder, and then flatten the head and tail ends. I forgot to take a picture of the details here, but you can see it by looking at the picture below.
3. Fit and shape : After the core is ready, it can be attached to the skin. I have reserved longer and wider pieces for the upper and lower pieces of vegetable tanned leather here, because the leather will shrink and deform during the drumming process, so it will be safer to reserve more and cut it after making. After pasting on both sides, the drum position can be shaped.
4. Add a bottom core: Because it is a womens handbag after all, the bottom core only has a single layer and a small bulge, just to make it feel better. OK. Because the position of the drum above has been determined, remember to stick the bottom core accurately. (Here I use the auxiliary line of the center line to help me align)
5. Finally, attach the bottom and sew. (Fold back the leather covering the part of the bottom core To thin)
