The main tools needed here: hardener, filler, cotton swabs, sandpaper, coarse cloth
1. This area needs to be smoothed with coarse sandpaper (200-400). Especially where there are pits, you can grind a little more. Note that it must be ground flat to facilitate step 3
2. Apply hardener (there are many brands of hardeners, all of which can be used. I have tried many kinds, and I think the difference is not big. Just save money and buy the one you want). Try to seal the edges as much as possible. Go up to all places, but be careful not to let the hardener get on it.
3. etc. After the hardener dries, use coarse sandpaper to polish it again. After the hardener hardens the structure, the surface will be very rough. Sanding is necessary at this time, and it is still flat grinding.
4. Sharpen The benefits of smooth grinding come out when the edges are smoothed. When the middle is smoothed, it will naturally squeeze out to both sides. Therefore, cutting the edges at this time will produce the best results. As for why it takes hardening agent to cut it, the reason is this: If you don’t cut it directly, you will definitely cut it again later. But in the end, you have to sharpen it again.
5. Continue to apply the hardener, and then change to medium-grit sandpaper (500-800) until smooth
6. The most important step is to apply the filler, which must be done quickly, accurately and ruthlessly , you need more filling fluid and cannot reapply it. It requires one step to get it right. Generally speaking, there is more filling fluid at the beginning and less at the end, so after it dries, you have to apply it from the smaller side the second time. But the filler can be applied at most twice. , no more, because the filler will form a gel on the surface, so it will appear smooth and shiny.
7. The last step is the coarse cloth that has not been used. It is used for polishing at the end. Just face the dry edge. Rub it. Boy!
