Since the advent of smartphones, no matter where we travel, the first thing we do after arriving at an attraction is to take a photo, check in, upload it, and tell our relatives and friends. If we don’t do this, it will be as if we have never been to this place. Gradually, , these travel selfies with deliberately perfect angles seem to have become the focus of travel; Austrian photographer Reiner Riedler therefore created a series of photography series called "Fake Holiday", which combines people with virtual scenes to shoot Super realistic typical travel photos, but everything is actually fake, to satirize the way modern people travel.
Reiner Riedler said: Everyone has a desired vacation location and method in their heart, but when reality cannot match their ideal, people will use modern technology to simulate and imitate the travel experience.
He spent 8 years visiting 11 countries and 50 theme parks, and finally created this series of photography collections, allowing us to reflect on the meaning of travel.
After visiting so many countries, he suddenly realized that there were no truly memorable memories, because in these man-made simulated paradises, all he saw were empty consumer entertainment and no unforgettable stories and experiences.
A joyful feast under the pyramid
Artificial sunbathing
The overcrowded artificial beach
Famous man-made attractions
Many crowds of people gathered under the hot air balloon, but the irony is that this was all indoors...

All of this is post-produced in a studio like this. Since when did we no longer travel to the real sea and vast grasslands, but to more and more artificial attractions, such as amusement parks? , indoor ski resorts, beaches and other places, just to take beautiful photos, it seems that this can draw a perfect end to the trip. Reiner Riedler makes us think about how to find the original meaning of travel in such a fast and artificial travel. .
