German photographer Jan von Holleben’s works have always focused on children. He shoots children lying on the ground from top to bottom, matching them with various backgrounds and posing in various poses, creating very interesting works. The recently launched series of works "Konrad Wimmel Is in Town!" is almost several times larger than his previous works, and it is not to be missed.
Holleben uses clothes, quilts and other daily necessities that can be found everywhere to create various lively scenes. The children in the photos either become motorcycles running on the road, or fly into the sky holding balloons, or transform into animals such as giraffes and fire-breathing dragons, or they become little inventors, holding umbrellas to study artificial rain. The most special thing is that in a corner of every photo, you can see a child named Konrad. It depends on whether your eyes are sharp enough to find it.
However, it is not easy to complete the shooting of such a large scene. Holleben spent a total of a year getting along with 250 children, and finally stitched together 5,000 photos one by one to complete the work in front of everyone. Of course, there was no shortage of candies and pizza used to coax and deceive the children. It is said that these little models ate a total of 100 pounds of candies and 185 slices of pizza!
